WWOOF stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms and it is an international networkwhich links volunteers with organic farmers.

West Town Farm is a member of WWOOF UK and we've been hosting WWOOFers from the UK and abroad for many years now.

The farm provides free accommodation and a weekly food provision for our WWOOFers and in return they help us out on the farm. No previous experience of farming is necessary but applicants need to be 18 years of age or above, for insurances purposes, and be prepared to stay for a minimum of three weeks.

The type of activities WWOOFers get involved with here at West Town Farm vary with the season. Feeding, bedding, moving and monitoring our animals is a constant job. Planting, weeding and harvesting crops, such as squash, pruning and picking apples, plus chopping wood for winter are all quite central tasks in the farm calendar.

We're a bit more than just a farm here though we do lots of private events and, working with our charity partner organicARTS, run 150 education visits every year as well as several farm open days so there are all sorts of activities to get involved with!
