What makes West Town Farm meat different is it comes from a farm that cares about the land, the animals and the community. We do not have awards and we are not a food hero...yet! What we are is a small local farm that offers quality at a fair price to you and to us. We offer you the chance to enjoy the farm as much as we do and to have a true connection to your food. We are proud of how we farm and the land and animals always come first. We use only use antibiotics on our animals on the rare occasions when it is absolutely necessary and we never use chemicals on our land.
You may have noticed and asked yourself why, that for grass fed, rare breed beef we are actually very reasonable. The reason for this is because we don't want to be exclusive by selling to top restaurants and expensive mail order to London. We are a small local farm that want to provide food for the local people and businesses. We produce quality local meat and make it affordable because we prefer that people make the right choice when buying meat, one lead by animal welfare and the environment, not by how cheap it is.
We believe in minimising the distance that animals and food have to travel, and by selling directly to the public we can achieve this as supermarkets supply chains involve huge distances. We use a small local abattoir which means the animals experience minimal stress.
As we are a small farm we offer you fantastic grass fed beef, organic pork and lamb once a month on our fresh meat weeks where we can deliver or you can collect from the farm.
We also have potatoes, squashes and pumpkins for sale throughout autumn and winter.
It is always better to pre-order before fresh meat days to guarantee you your order, as we operate on a first come first serve basis.
