Busy season is upon us. We have new lambs, lots of educational visits, our first shepherd hut guests, birthday parties and our first open day of the year. It feels like spring has finally sprung. The lambs are exploring and gamboling across the fields. Wild garlic scents the path whilst daffodils pop up in the oddest places.
After months of eating silage the cows were over the moon to see new pastures. What a joy it was to watch them all running and bucking for joy (check out video on facebook). A bit like when we can feel the sun on our skin for the first time after winter! We’re expecting our first spring calves this coming week so it’ll be all hands on deck.
'Spring at the Farm’ returns on the 30th April. We have Poco Drom, tractor trailer rides, maypole dancing, bluebell walk, animal feeding,BBQ, veggie cafe, pizza oven and much more. Time to brush off the cobwebs and get back outside. Open from 11am-4pm. £4 adult £3 child £12 family and under 3’s free. Well behaved dogs welcome on leads. Look forward to seeing everyone there.
We’ll have a fresh meat week starting 26th April. If you’d like to pre-order any cuts please phone or email. Also running up to Easter we’ll be offering 20% off our frozen organic roasting joints.
